In Sherman Oaks, The Right Choice Heating and Air installed a Goodman 4 ton furnace, 4 ton condenser, and 4 ton Coil. For this installation we also installed a new lineset on the exterior of the house. Changing the furnace, coil and condenser most likely will require air duct replacement as well, in order to achieve the most efficiency from the system . In some cases we will be okay with replacing only equipment but this is based on air duct sizes and design. The new code in California for air conditioning is a 15.2 seer rating, which will also affect the design and the decisions we will make once we are getting into that kind of the job. Lineset and refrigeration lines are always recommended to be replaced and in some cases the new lineset will be necessary to be run on the exterior of the house, depending on the design, as displayed in the picture below. The system will be efficient and will both cool and heat the house, only if the install and design will be done professionally. The fact that you are getting just the equipment installed does not mean the ac or heater will work as you’re expecting it to. There are many factors that need to be checked before performing the job related to electrical components, water condensation, and California specific codes.
